The presence of the AEC (ASEAN Economic Community) is an integration of countries in the Southeast Asian region in particular, which aims to reduce the gap between ASEAN countries in terms
of economic growth. This has led to increased competition between ASEAN countries in terms of products
and services which led to disputes. The role of the mediator is very important to resolve consumer disputes. This paper discusses the role of the mediator in terms of the perspective of consumer protection law.
